Wholewheat flour is made from the whole grain, including the wheat germ and husk – ingredients which are left out when milling refined flour.
Rich in protein, the wheat germ is the most nutritious part of the grain. With minerals, such as potassium, magnesium and calcium, plus vitamins A, B1, B2 and B6 – which help assimilate carbohydrates – and vitamins K and E – the anti-sterility vitamins – it is also recommended for those suffering from high cholesterol or intestinal/digestive disorders.
